The bey
Golem Rock is the bruiser of the Beyblade X UX line. Takara Tomy shipped it as the UX-13 Booster, and it does not look like the crowd it runs with. Where the Attack-style blades of this generation are light, sharp, and hungry to hit, Golem Rock is a slab. The blade's whole design says stay put: a rock-type profile that trades some of the flash for plain staying power.
It is a Defense archetype through and through. Not built to swing fast or chase knockouts — built to absorb, hold the center, and outlast whoever charges in.
Stock build
Out of the box you get three parts working together:
- Golem Rock blade — the heavy, rounded bulk of the bey.
- 1-60 ratchet — a single protrusion at 6.0mm height. Its silhouette is deliberately imbalanced, an off-kilter weight distribution that pairs with the Dran Buster blade in particular. Stock here, it still does its job of keeping the bey grounded.
- UN (Under Needle) bit — the heart of the build. Needle-style contact point, but roughly 2mm shorter than a standard Needle bit. At 60 height it plays more like a 40-height bey, running low and stable.
That short, low needle is the whole trick of this stock setup.
How it plays
Golem Rock plays like a defense-first goalkeeper more than a striker. It does not go for aggressive knockouts. It stays in the stadium, holds position, and dares the other bey to come and move it.
The payoff is real. The UN bit has solid KO resistance and is famous for standing its ground. As of early 2025, plenty of players called it among the best raw-stamina bits in X. Let it spin down in the middle of the stadium and it will sit there, unhurried, waiting out faster builds that burn themselves out trying to hit something that will not budge.
The trade-off is honest: because the bit sits lower than Balance and Attack bits and carries a lower burst resistance, it can be a touch more prone to bursting. Go in expecting to shrug off everything and the occasional burst will remind you it is a hand of cards, not a wall. Play it as the patient anchor it wants to be and it rewards you.
Combos & variants
Stock Golem Rock 1-60UN is the cleanest intro to this style, but the parts carry over well. The 1-60 ratchet finds a natural home on Dran Buster, and the UN bit is a converter's favorite — swap it under a solid Defense blade and you inherit the stamina and KO resistance without the stock weight.
The bey also saw later releases. A second mold arrived with Hasbro's Rock Golem 1-60UN Starter Pack, and the route to a redecorated version runs through the CX-11 Emperor Might Deck Set. Builders hunting the cleanest UN experience tend to seek out whichever mold they can find at a fair price.
Where to get one
Start with your usual Beyblade X stockists — Takara Tomy boosters like UX-13 are widely distributed. If you are in a region serviced by Hasbro, the Starter Pack route is more convenient and includes the spare parts you would want anyway. Prices move around, so shop around before you buy. For a Defense-type bey that actually rewards patience, Golem Rock is worth the hunt.
