Valkyrie Returns in Gunmetal: CX-00's Rarest Form Gets a Second Life

October 31, 2026

Valkyrie is the Beyblade that keeps coming back. Burst built the name into a household one, and now Beyblade X is pulling the surfacing-orbit wonder into a new shade. On November 5, 2026, Takara Tomy releases the CX-00 Valkyrie Volt S4-70V Gunmetal Ver. — a dark, metallic recolor of last year's rarest CX Bay.

The original Valkyrie Volt made waves in July 2025. Unlike anything on store shelves, it was handed out only through the Beyblade X app's Rare Bey Get Battle draw — a lottery you enter by scanning a product's Bey Code, with around a 0.7% chance of earning a "Rare Bey Exchange Ticket." That first run wore a gold metal coat, and it instantly became the CX line's bragging piece. Why? Under the hood sits Valkyrie, the very first Lock Chip to carry a metal part, paired with the chunky, impact-built Volt Main Blade. In a Custom Line built on weight and smash, it gave attackers a head start on the stadium floor.

The new Gunmetal Ver. swaps the gold for a deep, blast-gray finish with hot red accents. The shape is untouched: the same metal Valkyrie Lock Chip, the same three-pointed Volt blade built to slam, plus a Slash assist blade, a 4-70 Ratchet, and a Vortex bit that sends it tearing around the stadium edge before it punches in. It's a right-spin attack build through and through — built to trade paint, not run out the clock.

Exclusivity is the whole point, and that part hasn't softened. This is an app- and event-only Booster (product code BXG-65) priced at ¥1,800. You won't find it at a normal retailer, ever. There are two routes in: win a "limited-item purchase ticket" through Rare Bey Get Battle and buy it on Takara Tomy Mall, or catch it at a participating event venue. From November 5, Premium X members get first crack before the general app sale, and as usual the quantity on offer is capped.

The timing is worth a word. November 5 lands only days before the GP 2026 Final in Bangkok, where the whole competitive year comes down to one stage. A fresh-colorway Valkyrie Volt just before the biggest tournament of the season is a light nudge — the meta is moving, and the crowd favourite is back in the pit. Whether it's genuinely top-tier or simply a beautiful flex, collectors with a completed gold set are now facing a very expensive decision.

There's a gentle ending here for completists: the gold metal-coat Valkyrie Volt already aged out of the draw, and its leftover exchange codes can no longer be used after November 30, 1 p.m. Japan time. If you slept on gold, gunmetal is the second chance — but only if the app lottery smiles on you first.

Between the metal Lock Chip that rewrote CX parts, the Burst-era heritage, and a colourway that quietly announces "I won the lottery," this is a Beyblade with a story before it ever spins. Back in the spring of this year, Valkyrie's return felt like a memory. By the start of next week it's a collectors' target again.
