Left-spin Beys have always been Beyblade X's wildcard: fun, unpredictable, occasionally great for a gimmick — but never the kind of thing you trusted to lead a deck. Luster Dragoon 6-60LC changes that. It just dropped in Japan on October 10 for ¥2,300, and it is the first left-spin attacker built on a BX Expand Blade that looks genuinely capable of shaking up the meta.
The "Dragoon" name carries weight
Luster Dragoon is the third left-spin Blade to carry the Dragoon name in X, following CobaltDragoon and MeteorDragoon. Where those two leaned on quirk and lockdown, Luster is all offense. Its blade is a two-sided, aggressive design with the Bit insertion point deliberately off-center — an uneven center of gravity that widens the attack range and adds impact. The result is a heavy left-spin blade that slips low under opponents, scoops them up, and drives them off the stadium. Takara Tomy's own description is blunt about it: "left heavy crash."
The parts that matter
Two things make this package worth a second look.
The blade is part of the BX Expand line, which evolves the Basic Line by running the metal through the center of the Blade. That connects the blade's structure, raising rigidity and staying true to the stability the BX system is known for — even in a part designed to hit hard. It rides on a 6-60 Ratchet, a familiar part that sits low and deflects blows with six alternating blades.
The newcomer is the LC — Low Cyclone — Bit. It sits 1mm lower than the standard Cyclone, which gives it better grip when spinning left and a lower center of gravity. Yamitsu it sets up fast, mobility-heavy attacks and a strong Xtreme Dash. Because it launches left, it pairs with the included Long Winder Launcher L (in a fresh violet finish), so it's ready to battle out of the box once you've got a stadium.
Why it matters
For more than three years, Beyblade X has been a right-spin world. Left-spin pieces did their jobs, but no one ever built the archetype a serious blader could hang a deck on. Luster Dragoon is the first real attempt — a left-spin attack type with the weight and rigidity to fight at the top level. The deck-building possibilities opened up almost overnight; for the first time, running CobaltDragoon, MeteorDragoon, and Luster Dragoon on the same three-any-beys team is a legitimate plan, not a meme.
It arrives at a busy moment for the line. The BX-53 All-in-One Set is landing around the same time, and with a left-spin attack type this strong finally in the pool, the balanced right-spin decks that have ruled tournaments since 2023 suddenly have a reason to look over their shoulders.
Luster Dragoon 6-60LC is a Starter, priced ¥2,300 including tax, released in Japan on October 10, 2026. Given how long left-spin attack has been waiting for a heavyweight, this one was worth the wait — and it's going to be worth watching in the competitive scene through the rest of the year. The newcomer is the LC — Low Cyclone — Bit. It sits 1mm lower than the standard Cyclone, which gives it better grip when spinning left and a lower center of gravity. Together they set up fast, mobility-heavy attacks and a strong Xtreme Dash. Because it launches left, it pairs with the included Long Winder Launcher L (in a fresh violet finish), so it's ready to battle out of the box once you've got a stadium. excerpt: "BX-52 Luster Dragoon 6-60LC is out — the first hard-hitting left-spin attacker on a BX Expand Blade.
