There's a new reason to clear shelf space this summer. For the first time in the West, Hasbro is selling Beyblade X launcher sets as retailer exclusives — and the two launches could hardly be more different. You pick a side of the store, and you get a very different bey.
Both sets were revealed on Beyblade Day back in March 2026 by ADK Emotions NY, with Hasbro handling distribution across North America and Europe. And both arrive on the same day: July 15, 2026. If you want them, here's how to choose.
Meteoroid Dragoon — the left-spin legend, Amazon exclusive
The headline act is the Meteoroid Dragoon Deluxe Left-Spin String Launcher Set (coded G3491, a Metal Coat: White variant), and it's living behind the Amazon paywall. In the box you get the Meteoroid Dragoon top — built 3-70J, for a 3-70 ratchet and the J bit, which Hasbro's marketing calls the "Jaggy" bit — plus its matching red String Launcher L for the left-spin launch.
Meteoroid Dragoon is a left-spin Attack Type, and Western collectors will recognize the family name right away. It's the same bey Takara Tomy realized in Japan as the UX-17 Starter set (MeteorDragoon 3-70J), which hit shelves there on December 27, 2025. The design carries the Dragoon lineage forward: a left-spin, dragon-themed layer that keeps the lineage's signature motion alive. Hasbro's set has been listed right around $24.99.
Beyblade X Deluxe Launcher & Custom Grip Set — Bite Croc, Walmart exclusive
Over on the Walmart side is the Beyblade X Deluxe Launcher & Custom Grip Set (coded G3083), built around a very different beast. Bite Croc is a right-spin Attack Type wearing a crocodile-motif blade, put together as 2-60Q on a 2-60 ratchet and the Q (Quick) bit for speed. It's an aggressive attacker by design.
The real draw, though, is the grip. The attachable Custom Grip mounts to the launcher multiple ways and is compatible with both Beyblade X string and winder launchers — aim is to give you steadier hands and better launch control, no matter how you like to rip. And Bite Croc plays nicely with the X-Celerator Gear System: when its gear catches the X-Celerator Rail in a stadium, it can super-accelerate straight into an Xtreme Dash.
Which shelf do you walk to?
Both sets need a Beystadium, sold separately, as always. So beyond that, the choice in front of you is genuinely a playstyle pick.
Go to Amazon if you want the throwback energy — a left-spin Dragoon in the Western line plus the string launcher that suits it. Walk to Walmart if you want something brand-new and ferocious — a right-spin croc that loves the rail, with a grip that dials in your launch.
