On Friday, October 9, at 7 p.m. JST, a whole country joined the Beyblade X anime. The new Bey Kingdom Arc opened with episode 135, "Version 2.0," in a premiere on BeyTube, the franchise's own YouTube channel, and fresh episodes now stream there every Friday night. The premise is gloriously absurd: a nation whose politics, culture, and succession all run on spinning tops.
Here's the setup. The Bey Kingdom is a country where everything is decided by Beyblade battles. The king has 99 children, and instead of a line of succession, he has declared the Spin Crown War — all 99 princes fight, and the last one standing takes the throne.
Naturally, there's a catch. Prince Dima Dil Kanz, the 88th prince, can't enter the war: a wrist injury has taken him out of the stadium. So he does what any sensible royal would do and calls on Team Persona, still glowing from its win in the True Summit Battle, to be his champions. Episode 135 opens after that win, with X City finally looking like itself again — until an aluminum trunk with no return address arrives at the team's door. Masaya Miyazaki voices Dima, and the arc's key visual plants Jaxon, Robin, and Multi in royal company. Robin's updated character bio adds the emotional hook: for the prince he met in the Bey Kingdom, he has sworn he will never lose again.
The release format is worth a closer look. BeyTube-first premieres are now the house style: the previous True Future arc followed the same playbook, streaming a two-episode premiere (episodes 123 and 124, "1% of Hope" and "True X Tower War") on BeyTube last April before its television debut on July 10 at 6:25 p.m. across TV Tokyo's six-station network. The show that began on TV Tokyo in October 2023 went global in July 2024 on Disney XD, with streaming on Hulu and Netflix — and Disney+ has since joined the lineup. Three years in, the franchise's biggest show has quietly become appointment YouTube.
The new arc brings new music too. &TEAM's opener "Fearless" kicked things off, its anime music video arriving October 10, and BAND-MAID's "SPIN" closes out episodes, with its digital single due October 28. For anyone who has never picked up a launcher, Takara Tomy launched the BEYBLADE X START DASH PROJECT on September 15, a beginner campaign that has been running special BeyTube programs walking newcomers through the story so far.
The setup makes sense, honestly, coming from the creative trio behind the series — Homura Kawamoto (Kakegurui), Hikaru Muno, and Posuka Demizu (The Promised Neverland). A nation decided by high-stakes battles is exactly the kind of idea you'd expect from the Kakegurui writer, and Demizu's art carries the same confidence into every royally dressed panel.
Three years in, Beyblade X is still finding fresh ways to be weird and fun. A monarchy settled by spinning tops, a team of champions-for-hire, a prince playing the long game from the sidelines — it's a lot, and it works. If you fell off the anime somewhere around the tower battles, the Bey Kingdom Arc is a fine place to hop back in. All you need is Friday night and a YouTube tab.
